British Minister for Culture to Hold Talks on Israeli Football Club Fan Ban
A police and crime commissioner from the West Midlands has called for an immediate reexamination of the ruling to ban the Israeli team's supporters from attending the upcoming match.
The commissioner, who oversees the police department, explains that this appeal aims to determine whether the prohibition is appropriate, essential, justified, reasonable, and a proportionate step to achieve a lawful objective.
"This must include consideration of every and any appropriate, alternative options," the official emphasizes.
He has also asked to examine the written decision and recommendation from the advisory group, as well as the police assessment.
He stresses, however, that the ultimate ruling belongs to the advisory group and the authorities.
