The Streaming Giant Casts Ideal Star for Bentham in the Hit Series Season 3

Baroque Works is geared up to make a major impact in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, although the true confrontation won’t unfold until the third season, and a beloved, audience-beloved member has recently been selected.

The platform declared this week that the skilled actor has joined the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will play Bentham. Bon Clay possesses the power to change into an exact copy of any individual they’ve laid a hand on with their dominant hand. The actor, who is identifies as non-binary and goes by they/them, will play a version of that figure reimagined as non-binary, rather than as a drag queen, in the live-action show, unlike the original manga and cartoon version.

This performer joins several other recently announced actors set to bring Baroque Works to reality, such as chief Sir Crocodile, played by the well-known actor, Sophia Anne Caruso as a key member, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who also joins the ensemble as the monarch of the desert kingdom.

Even though Bon Clay is a important part of the group, the persona won’t make their debut One Piece season 3. Considering the second season likely to portray the Little Garden storyline, this represents a significant shift in the schedule of their first appearance, one that could signal further changes to the narrative framework.

Their mix of excellent comedic sense and profound feeling makes them a standout choice for the role. Besides their latest vocal work in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and multiple awards for penning and acting in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, showcasing the adaptability they’ll bring to one of One Piece’s widely praised roles.

Netflix's live-action One Piece series is set to return for its second season on March 10, 2026.
