Three Athletes In Contention for Young Sports Star Prize

Lionesses forward Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been selected as contenders for the this year's Young Sports Star of the Year award.
These three athletes have been celebrated for their exceptional achievements over the last year.
Agyemang played a key role in helping the Lionesses win Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the very first time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a historic innings.
Littler won the award in 2024 after his sensational debut year.
The three contenders were unveiled on a popular morning radio program.
The 2025 recipient will be revealed live on the Sports Personality of the Year show on December 18th.
The show will be broadcast from 19:00 GMT.
The Football Star

A mere three months after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.
She entered the fray to score vital last-gasp goals in both the knockout stage games.
These match-saving moments led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament.
Afterwards, she was awarded the Golden Girl award for the finest emerging star on the continent.
She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.
Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October.
"To be named a finalist for this award is a privilege," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm grateful for the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."
The Darts Prodigy

The year started for Littler in sensational style as - at just 17 years old - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.
He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles.
He didn't stop there - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the very first time.
At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, shattering the previous record.
"Being nominated for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "Last year's win was a highlight for me and I've had another unbelievable 12 months. I want to continue raising the profile of darts."
The Cricket Sensation

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and burst into the spotlight with an remarkable and historic innings in August.
Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s.
It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international.
Perrin ended up as runner-up in the season's run tally and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.
